There was lots of beach and boating when we headed to Rhoscolyn in August.

A few photos from Emma's eighteenth.

Air Greenland has one large plane which flies from Copenhagen early every morning, arriving back in the evening, so we had to stay the night in Copenhagen ahead of our flights out and again on the way back. Since Malmö in Sweden is only 40 mins away by train we popped over there to eat on the way home.

Here are some photos taken from planes as we flew to and within Greenland, I'm glad I got window seats.

Our first stop in Greenland was Nuuk, the capital, which has a population of around 20,000. As well as looking round the town we did a hike in the mountains that form Nuuk's backdrop.

Nuuk sits at the mouth of the 100 mile long Nuuk Fjord. We went on a fishing trip to Qooqqut, which is about a fifth of the way up. The old settlement is abandoned now, but cabins there are used in the summer, and there is a restaurant that will cook your catch.

Stargazing and air rifles were two of our activities during our April trip to Rhoscolyn.

Kirstie and me went to the Luminous light show by Luxmuralis at St Paul's Cathedral with Teresita and Sophie. The images are inspired by the cathedral's history, and are constantly moving and changing.

When William and me went to Rhoscolyn in January there was no snow there or in London, but there was plenty inbetween. We had a scenic diversion via Runcorn due to a stuck point between Crewe and Chester.
